Bournville, Birmingham, West Midlands.

The village primary school at Bournville houses a 48 bell carillon with a bass bell weighing 64 cwts. The carillon was the gift of the Cadbury family and they sill maintain interest in it. After a full structural survey of the bell frame major restoration work will be carried out to repair areas weakened through rusting. The largest bells will be lowered onto heavy duty cradles while new headstocks are manufactured and fitted. Various other parts of the structure will be replaced as directed by the engineers.

The Taylor clavier will be stripped down and worn parts will be replaced with new parts manufactured as necessary.
