The new taylor eight at this church was installed to mark the centenary of the end of World War One, and have been rung regularly since their installation.

The sound control, which was installed by another contractor, has proved insufficient, particularly when full peals have been rung. An order was therefore placed to improve its effectiveness.

The work was completed and when measured outside the volume has been reduced from 71db to 60 db when closed.

While our engineer was in Ypres he also carried out a full service of the installation to keep things in first class order.
