Frankie Dettori Retires with a Taylor Bell !

As a thank you and farewell present to Frankie Dettori on his retirement, British Racing and Ascot Race Course commissioned Taylor's to cast a replica of "The Ascot Bell".

The original dates back to the Victorian era and was always rung as the horses entered the final furlong of each race to warn punters to clear the track or risk serious injury. The original bell was delivered to the Foundry to be used to shape the mould - the original has now been returned to Ascot.

Queen Camilla presented Frankie with his parting gift to much warm applause.
