Brannel, Cornwall
Church of St Stephen
8 bells 13-1-20 in F#
The bells of St Stephen in Brannel were completed
in the works on July 3rd 1909. Major refurbishment work was carried
out in 2002 as the steel grillage was badly corroded and needed
replacing, so the whole frame was reconstructed.
The pub opposite the church provided an ideal location
for an initial assessment of the bells, via the clock chimes, over
lunchtime.
Many local ringers turned up to listen and watch
the recording session, and tea, coffee and biscuits were provided
afterwards for all those present.
The band consisted of:
1 Heather Trueman
2 Andrew W R Wilby
3 Ruth E Reeves
4 John Pladdys (C)
5 Andrew Reeves
6 Alan Sharples
7 Michael Wycherley
8 David J Mattingley
