Brass crown staples are milled, drilled and turned to exact dimensions. The carefully matched clapper is cast from bronze. Our spring buffers are laser cut, for accuracy, from brass sheet, felt pads are impact bonded to them. Long life nylon pivots are used to allow the clapper to swing silently. Our smaller bells have nylon striking pegs and the larger bells have leather pegs, to enhance clarity of sound. Bass bells use felt discs to produce the mellow tones musicians associate with them.

Finest quality natural leather is used to give maximum comfort and control for both change ringing and tune ringing. Handles and caps of graduated sizes are hand tooled and finished, as they have been for many generations previously. The unique decorations on our leather work are stamped by hand.
